From the CEO

"Streaming-native, public-service-minded, unapologetically Black."

Bronzeville Commons Network was built on a simple observation: the largest, most culturally influential audience in American media — 50 million+ Black Americans, plus 300 million+ in the Global African / Black Diaspora — has never had a streaming-native network of its own. Cable-era networks were built for cable-era audiences. BCN is built for the next decade.

We carry the editorial DNA of public-service broadcasting: rigorous journalism, distinctive programming, broad reach, and accountability. We carry the operating DNA of a modern technology company: streaming-first distribution across Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Xbox, Mobile & Tablet (iOS & Android) and Smart TVs (75+ Brands); AI-powered production that lets a lean team ship at legacy-network volume; and six revenue streams attached to every show we make.

On Juneteenth, we pre-launched from the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago — where history meets intention. The Bronzeville name honors this historic Chicago neighborhood that taught generations how to build culture, commerce and civic life on their own terms. BCN extends that lineage to the screens of a new century — our journey has begun.

— Alonzo Buchanan Jr.
CEO, Bronzeville Commons Network
